US, Israeli Strikes Strike Two Piers in Strait of Hormuz

(MENAFN) US and Israeli forces targeted two piers in the Strait of Hormuz, local authorities reported on Wednesday.

Ahmad Nafisi, deputy governor of Hormozgan province, said, “Warplanes belonging to the US and Israel targeted the Doha fishing pier on Qeshm Island and the fishing and commercial pier in Bandar-e Charak.”

Initial assessments indicated that two people were injured on Qeshm Island and three in Bandar-e Charak. Search and rescue teams have been dispatched and continue operations at both sites, Nafisi added.

He also noted that on March 31, the Bahman Pier on Qeshm Island had been struck. Earlier in the conflict, a salt desalination facility on the island was targeted, and an attack was carried out on Shahid Haghani Port in Bandar Abbas, according to statements issued by local authorities.
